Who can come?
- Everyone is welcome to come and join us. Both Carie Mason(Bright Quilting) and Diane Warburton(Stitchscape) will be taking your bookings. If you are a client of theirs or find it on there website please book with them. All participants will be part of one happy group
The hotel?
- Rooms are single or double occupancy each room has:
Comfortable bed(s) with beautiful linens
Ensuite Shower facilities – all walk-in showers
There are accessibility room for those with disabilities. - Each room has TV, free WIFI access, tea/coffee making facilities, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. (Please do not take the room facilities to the sewing room)
- There is ample free parking and there are EV Charging points on site.

- The Ixoria Hotel and Spa is located between the towns of Conwy and Betws y coed on the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. Set alongside Zip World Conwy, which has climbing walls, this relaxed hotel is 18 miles from Pen Y Pas car park for access to hiking trails on Mount Snowdon. It’s 5 miles from the A470 road and 7 miles from Conwy Castle.
- Pamper yourself in the Wave Garden Spa with luxury treatments surrounded by nature. Experience a warm Welsh welcome with our massages, facials, and Hammam treatments. Retreat attendee get a discounted access of £25. Please book this with the hotel before or during your stay.
Food:
- Tea/coffee and biscuits will available from 10am to 4pm. Out of this time items can be purchased from the bar.
- Breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be a served in the Zephyr Restaurant each morning.
- There will be a light lunch Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Dinner on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday will be served in a private room. The menu will vary each day. All drinks should be purchased from the Zephyr bar.
The Sewing Part!
- Our dedicated sewing room is a lovely, light, large bright room.
- You will have your own area to work in and it does not need to be put away at the end of each day. You will be with like-minded sewers so that you can get to know everyone, help others and get help yourself.
- There will be irons and ironing boards available and areas to display your makes. But please remember to bring your sewing machine and tools needed for your projects
- Have you got a project already or want to start one that you feel will be a challenge for you? Well the retreat is the place to start with the help of Diane and Carie and all the others you can work it out and get it done.
- A Quilt retreat is a great place to be amongst like minded people but please feel free to take some time to visit places that are available locally for a change of scene. There will plenty of time to get to know people and make new friend.
- We will also have a visit from a local fabric shop during the weekend as Carie will be bringing fabrics and products from her shop Bright Quilting in Llangollen, North Wales for you to purchase.
- Retreat Itinerary will be available very soon
- Retreat finishes at 4pm when we say are farewells and go back to reality!
What’s included in the retreat package:
- 3 nights single occupancy, with en-suite, accommodation
- Four days of sewing bliss in our sewing room from 10am on Monday until 4pm on Thursday
- Breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be a served in the Zephyr Restaurant each morning.
- Light lunch on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (excluding drinks, to be purchased from the Zephyr bar)
- Dinner on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (excluding drinks, to be purchased from the Zephyr bar)
- Refreshments – tea, coffee and biscuits will be available from 10am to 4pm daily.
- There is a large lounge area should you wish to take a break from the sewing room and do a little hand sewing
- There will be ironing and cutting stations provided. If you wish to bring your own iron it must be PAT tested by our engineer who will be in attendance on arrival. There may be a nominal charge for this.
Cost:
- Single occupancy : £800 per person
- For beginners there is an extra £100 fee added. This covers pre retreat zoom session and a dedicated hour each day of the retreat for tutorials specifically designed for beginners.
- £100 no-refundable booking fee payable on booking

Other Really Important Stuff!
- Sewing room is on the ground floor and there are lifts to the bedrooms.
Free parking is a short distance from the hotel so you may wish to bring a trolley with you. If not the hotel staff will assist you to bring in all your equipment to and from your car. - Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs.
- Please let us know if you have any allergies or food intolerances.
- If you would like to extend your stay either before of after, then please book through me, so you get a special agreed rate for the extra night/s.
- On booking you will receive an email from your organiser. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive it within a few minutes. Make sure to add your organisers email address as a safe sender to ensure all future emails reach you.
